Description
The Tre Ponti Liberta model is available with 4 different prints and in 3 different sizes.
No harness existed to solve back and spine problems. An Italian veterinarian designed the current model. After several modifications, adding Italian design and skill, the best materials were sought. This resulted in an innovative, ergonomic, simple and stylish designer harness!
The Liberta model with cord was further developed from the experience with the Fibbia buckle closure. Faster growing animals, such as puppies, dogs with long coats and many trims, dogs with coats or coverings, as well as cats and rabbits, fell short with the standard model. The Liberta model is also ideal when raising puppies.
Although this harness is not an anti-tugging harness, it is definitely a good “tool” that can help break pulling behavior. The Tre Ponti Liberta sits comfortably and is barely perceptible to the dog. When the leash stretches, the extra space and sense of freedom automatically disappears. As a result, the dog feels pressure on his torso and is made aware of the pulling, after which he will react. This reaction is important! By rewarding upon recognition of this action, pulling is discouraged.
Giving attention – with reward – virtually stops the pulling behavior. By tightening the Liberta with the slide, the dog, cat or rabbit can never escape from the harness, even during a fear response. These harnesses are very secure and offer a comfortable and protective feeling in the tightened positions. This makes the harness suitable not only for small dogs; cats in particular respond super to it.
The Liberta harness is easy to put on:
- Open the cord by pushing the ball all the way up and take the cord double to open it all the way.
- Put the harness in front of the dog (it is reversible, so no front or back) and put the dog’s front legs in it.
- Lift the lanyard over the head so that the clasp automatically goes behind the dog’s shoulder blades.
- Just hold the ball and pull upward so that the harness fits nicely.
- Put the ball down so that the harness closes to the correct size.
- The harness is now on. The opening should be at least 1 cm and may be as wide as needed.
Notes:
- If it is so wide open that the harness hits the dog’s shoulders and/or the harness sits in the armpits, then the harness is too small.
- If the harness has 0 cm opening, then the harness is too big.
- The harness should not be too tight because it automatically pulls tighter when the dog pulls on the leash, making it safe and preventing the dog from getting out.
- You attach the leash to the ring at the end of the cord.
