Privacy Statement
1. Introduction
Woofsplace processes personal data in accordance with Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data: the General Data Protection Regulation / AVG (hereinafter “the AVG”). The AVG is applicable from May 25, 2018 and replaces the Personal Data Protection Act that was in force until then. This privacy statement explains what data is processed by Woofsplace and for what purpose the data is processed. It also explains what rights data subjects have and how they can exercise these rights.
2. Definitions
Woofsplace: LikeGoldFirePoms V.O.F. h.o.d.n. Woofsplace, established in (1944 RX) Beverwijk at Hilbersplein 78, registered in the Chamber of Commerce under number 74071440.
Data subjects: Data subject within the meaning of the AVG: an identified or identifiable natural person to whom data relates.
Personal data: Personal data within the meaning of the AVG: any information about an identified or identifiable natural person.
Controller: In this AVG Privacy Statement, the controller means Woofsplace.
Processor: Processor within the meaning of the AVG : a natural or legal person, a public authority, a service or another body that processes personal data on behalf of the Controller.
Processing: Processing within the meaning of the AVG: an operation or set of operations involving personal data or a set of personal data, whether or not carried out by automated methodology, such as the collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, updating, or modification, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, blocking, erasure or destruction of data.
3. Concerned
Woofsplace processes the personal data of:
- Anyone who shows interest in Woofsplace’s products or services;
- Potential consumers;
- The consumer who makes an on-site appointment for the groomer and/or purchases products through the Woofsplace website;
- Users using the online contact form;
- Engaged via social media channels;
- Collaborative partners;
- Staff;
- Anyone who seeks contact (written/digital/phone) in any way with Woofsplace.
4. Personal data
Woofsplace processes personal data provided to it directly or indirectly by data subjects.
Direct personal data include: full (company) name, address, place of residence, telephone number, e-mail address and bank details. If the data subject uses the website www.woofsplace.nl then indirect data is stored. This data includes functional, tracking and analytical cookies. This data provides relevant information about visits on the website, so that Woofsplace can optimize the website or place more targeted information on the website. Woofsplace will ask permission to use cookies.
5. Purpose, processing and retention period
Purpose of processing
The data provided by data subject to Woofsplace are for the purpose of exercising its services and/or selling the products it offers on site or through the web shop, including for:
- Performing the Agreement;
- Recording and maintaining contact;
- Administrative purposes;
- Compliance with Woofsplace’s legal obligations;
- Maintaining customer database;
- To improve and analyze services and products offered, including conducting market research.
Data type:
Data received by Woofsplace from consumers or other parties;
IP addresses of visitors to Woofsplace’s website.
Cookies
Woofsplace uses cookies to track and improve visitor experience. The data is not used to identify data subjects.
Personnel data (internal):
Personnel data is stored internally for the purpose of:
- Executing the labor agreement;
- Administrative purposes/maintaining personnel records;
- Fulfilling legal obligations.
Retention period
Personal data processed will be kept as long as it is necessary for the purposes of processing. These data will not be kept longer than permitted by law. Administrative data subject to a tax retention obligation will be kept for seven years.
6. Provision of personal data to third parties.
In principle, personal data are not shared with third parties. This is different if there is an obligation or a legitimate reason to do so.
It may be necessary to share the personal data with third parties, for the performance of the agreement or the use of another service provider.
Woofsplace may engage other business partners to process personal data on Woofsplace’s behalf. These parties are deemed sufficiently reliable by Woofsplace. These parties are only engaged if this fits the processing purpose for which the personal data are processed. In addition, this other party will only be commissioned if it makes certain arrangements with Woofsplace and has demonstrably taken appropriate security measures.
7. Rights of data subjects
Affected persons have the following rights to which they may appeal:
- Right to access data collected from the data subject;
- Right to correction if personal data is incorrect;
- Right to delete data;
- Right to limit data processing;
- Right to data portability.
- Right to withdraw consent to process personal data at any time.
If a data subject wishes to invoke one and/or more of the rights mentioned above, this can be done by sending an e-mail to [email protected]. Within a period of four weeks after sending this e-mail, the data subject will receive a response.
A data subject also has the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Authority if he or she believes that his or her personal data is being processed by Woofsplace in breach of the applicable laws and regulations.
8. Changes to privacy statement
Woofsplace is entitled to change the privacy statement. Any amended version will be posted on the website www.woofsplace.nl.
